See what's happening around the world as it unfolds — on one live map.

GeoStara plots breaking news onto a live world map, so you can see where an event is happening and not just that it happened. Coverage is geolocated, categorised and refreshed as monitored feeds update.

Use the map to explore the location and reported context of current events. Country and topic views bring related coverage together, while each story summary names its publisher and links to original reporting. GeoStara is a discovery and context layer; it is not a replacement for reading the source report.

The map is useful when geography matters: compare coverage across regions, narrow the feed by country or category, and open the cited publisher when you need the full report. Locations are inferred from story text and may be approximate. Read the methodology to understand how stories are collected, categorized and mapped, or visit the source page to see regions currently tracked.
